The SSoE has placed an initial estimate on abductees at 4,000,000 citizens in Uedama, but claims that these figures are based on data still being compiled. Sister Renori, one of the SSoE local representatives for the Uedama system, stated that these attacks were some of the most savage yet. Capsuleers from the battle at Uedama were reporting Nation battleship squadrons numbering in the hundreds, easily matching the 350 pilots assembled to meet the Sansha threat. SSoE reports listed casualties from two planets, Uedama II and VII, with the former being the most heavily hit. We've seen some incredible papercraft EVE ships before, but I think this is the first time someone's made the escape pod.CCP has started a series of developer diaries talking about the upcoming features for EVE Online and the Incarna Expansion set for later this year as another staged release (a bit at a CCP and EVE Onlinetime in other words). Different corporations are in constant war with one another for resources and stations. Battles have a real cosmic scale in the game. And only those win who create a better tactics then the enemy. However, there are other things to do in the game besides battles. EVE Online has an excellent economical model, the realism and power of which beats any other economy in any other game. Anyway this decision has to have effect on online games and the direction of their progress. Probably some period of time has to pass to be able to estimate it. EVE Online is a very excellent game, however we decided to make a list some aspects which might be (and in our opinion should be) changed for to make the game even better. There is a lot of static information on screen; even ships are often displayed as some dots. Physics is not accurate in the game – ships or objects do not break or get damaged after collisions – they are just thrown apart from one another (the so called “bump”). There is also no gravitation in the game. Though EVE Online is a role playing game and character development is a key necessity, PvE missions are very monotonous. Missions can be carried out an unlimited number of times so a player can just learn and remember all the steps in a mission, given by an agent. There is no chance or randomness which was a pleasant feature in Diablo II, or instance. So missions quickly become a fairly boring method of gaining in game money.

We will describe the process of EVE Online character generation, race and pedigree choice, and attributes distribution in this article. Any character in EVE Online only has 5 attributes: Intelligence, Perception, Charisma, Willpower and Memory. Every skill is characterized by primary and secondary attributes (for example, Memory/Intelligence or Perception/Willpower), rank (or Training Time Multiplier), skill Level. To determine which are the most important attributes for your character you have to choose which are the most important skills to learn and take into consideration skill ranks.   As you might have already guessed, training for modules that increase your speed is almost the primary thing to do for a new character. Such devices are a microwarp drive and afterburners.
  An afterburner can be more efficient for some situations, though training your character to be able to use a microwarp drive is always a very good decision.
  The speed which you'll have with the AB / MWD will help you to take less damage from the opponent's missiles and turrets.
  Thus, if you're new to the game, you should invest your time in training the following skills:
  High speed maneuvering 1 / Navigation 4 / Afterburner 4
  The above-mentioned skills are probably the most time consuming of any others that you will need for start.
  The other things you need to be able to use for piracy are a warp disruptor or warp scrambler. These modules are needed to prevent your prey from escaping from you.
  As with many other modules, these ones also have their benefeits and drawbacks (look up in the info what each of them does). However a warp scrambler may be more preferable as many of the targets you'll meet have a warp core stabiliser installed. That is why the -2 scramble you may fit is more likely not to allow them warp. And the second drawback of a warp disruptor for a frigate is that it takes too much capacitor to function.

  Okay, now you've learned about what do train and to fit, and now it's the turn to think about the ships that can do the job. Possibly, the best frigate ships for our goal are either the Kestrel or the Rifter.   Star with less busy systems with a low security status. The characters that have chosen the mining way are more likely to be working in there. Fly around the systems until you find a possible target (look in the local chat).
  After the appropriate system is found, you will have to use your on-board scanner to see what ships are in space at a certain period of time. A primary target for you may be a mining cruiser or an industrial ship. After you detect it, you have to find its exact location, which you can do by either browsing through the belts in the system or by using the same scanner till you get a warpable point.
  At fisrt, using the scanner may seem inconvenient or diffucult, but this way is often faster than flying through all the belts. And you'll definitely won't regret of the skill later on.
  How to use the scanner.
  Before you start, position the camera view so that it is looking in the same direction your ship is.
  Then, adjust your overview settings so that asteroid belts are shown. And finally scan at 360 degrees at full range (about 14 au).
  Keep scanning to narrow the results, until only the ship and the belt remain on the scan. Then warp to the ship. With practice you're going to do all these steps automatically, and things will seem easy to you.
  Attacking.
  This is probably the most exiting part.
  Approach the prey at your optimal range, start orbiting it, engage your warp scrambler and weapons. If your ship is superior, and the opponent's ship remains on structure, you also have the option to convo the pilot and demand a ransom for letting him go. This is optional though, but many players do so - estimate the value of the enemy's ship and fitted modules, and ask him the price he'd have to pay if the ship is destroyed.

  The actual technique you should use each time depends on your ship, your fitting, and your oponent - which is very important as well. In most cases a close range fitting (e.g.: ROCKETS/BLASTERS/AUTOCANNONS/PULSES for caldari/gallente/minmatars and amarr respectively) would work. If you decide to use an MWD, use it to quickly shorten the distance between you and your opponent, and as soon as you are within the optimal range, disable the MWD and orbit - this step would save the capacitor for other important modules like the guns that are firing and the repair modules.
  When you destroy the target's ship, you'll have to decide to pod kill him or not. But bear in mind that your security status will drastically go down because of pod killing, and you wont be able to go into high sec areas.
  Also keep in mind NOT to go close to sentry guns for 15-20 minutes after you have attacked your prey (as it is an act of aggression) as you will find yourself in your pod as well - the sentries will destroy you in a minute.
  The crminal flagging counter is going to help you about how long you should be cautios after agression.
  High sec systems and your security status
  Every time you you kill another players ship, or his pod which has much more serious effects, your security status drops. The only way to raised this status is killing battleship-class NPCs, which at the beginning of your career may be a pretty difficult task for you. Though, things are not that sad as the status does not drop after just 1 crime. So you just make sure you don't get yourself in a low security system locked around by many high sec ones, because getting out of there may become difficult. Remember that when your security status reaches -5.0, any one is allowed to shoot at you anywhere without any penalty and concord intervention.
  Security status and permission to enter without penalty:
  -1.9 and above: you can enter any areas freely
  -2.4 and above: you can enter all but 1.0
  -2.9 and above: you can enter all but 0.9 and above
  -3.4 and above: you can enter all but 0.8 and above
  -3.9 and above: you can enter all but 0.7 and above
  -4.4 and above: you can enter all but 0.6 and above
  -4.5 and below: you cannot enter secure space without being fired upon by the navy/concord
  Be prepared to the fact that you are going to lose your ships periodically. This is normal for any player, especially for a pirate, until you get enough practice. Fortunately, basic frigates and their fittings are fairly cheap.

  Many players dislike this method, but it represents a very good and fairly safe way to earn some ISK and accumulate kills. You can snipe solo, but it is possible that you are not able to destroy larger ships quickly enough. An alternative character that encreases your lock time and tracking may make you more efficient. As well as an alt in an industrial ship collecting the loot. A good position for sniping would be 150km+ from the star gate. It is also reasonable to change the safespots you have periodically and keep local in view. And in case a covert ops ship enters the system, don't doubt - it is a mark for running away.
  Hunting in complexes
  Complexes are very nice places to hunt for prey in low sec systems. The suitable ships would be a heavy assault cruiser, recon cruiser, or a battlecruiser with good setup. An afterburner is almost crucial, as MWDs will not work in dead space complexes. This method is fairly simple: you scan a ship in the system, and if there is a complex, simply check it out. If you patrol certain systems, add the complex to your locations and check if there is anything in it from time to time. If the NPCs you meet in the complex are easy to kill, you could periodically do the complex for the security status and cash.
